This report provides up-to-date statistics to policy makers and other stakeholders on the dynamics within the tourism industry on an annual basis for example statistics on arrivals and departures of the year 2021.
Travel has become a virtual necessity for more and more people as their incomes and education rise. Despite effects from COVID-19, Uganda realised a slight increase in total arrivals from 0.6 million persons in 2020 to 0.7 million persons in 2021. However, arrivals were at 1.9 million in 2017 (before COVID-19).
