The IGP launched the Annual Crime Report (ACR) 2024. The report indicates a 4.1 percent decline in the number of crimes reported to Police, from 228,074 in 2023 to 218,715 in 2024. This was driven by the police force’s commitment to decentralising services through implementation of the Sub-county Policing Model where each sub-county is allocated 18 Police officers. This initiative drew police services closer to the communities, enhancing crime prevention and response.
