Uganda’s Coffee exports for 12 months ending April 2022 increased by 10 percent in quantity and 51 percent in value

  • The increase is attributed to the coffee road map and its detailed, plan to increase its current production of 402,000 tons of coffee to 1.2 million tons annually by 2025. The National Coffee Act, 2021 is also expected to enhance production and productivity by increasing total export value of processed agricultural commodities such as coffee, tea, fish, dairy, meat, and maize (and its products).
