The Directorate of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development is composed of four departments that include: Macro Economic Policy Department (MEPD), Economic Development Policy and Research Department (EDP&RD), Financial Services Department (FSD) and Tax Policy Department (TPD). The Directorate has been producing annual economic performance reports each calendar year for the last 9 years. The next edition will be the tenth in a series. These reports are written to discuss the milestones reached by the directorate of Economic Affairs in its contribution to achieving the mandate of Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. Among many other issues, the report provides highlights on Macro- Economic Management, Domestic Resource Mobilisation, External Resource Mobilisation, Financial inclusion and deepening as well as Private sector competitiveness and growth.
