Social Accountability and Service Delivery Effectiveness

Over years, Civil society Organizations understanding how Government responds to their necessary needs preferences and demands, and deliver goods and services is a is a perquisite in social accountability initiatives. However, it is important that the lives and livelihoods of the most vulnerable are safeguarded by guaranteeing them access to education, health, water and sanitation as well as social protection. Therefore, It is widely argued that sanctions make a key difference to service delivery outcomes, and that without them, transparency and accountability interventions are less likely to be effective and less likely to be sustainable.
