Government launches a number of legal tools as an affirmative action for inclusive development

On 3rd December 2022, Government launched:

  1. The Revised National Policy on Persons with Disabilities. The aim of this Policy is to guide and inform the planning process, resource allocation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities with respect to PWDs.
  2. The braille version of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. Uganda has become the thirteenth country globally to have a braille version of the Constitution and this is a big milestone for people with disabilities.
  3. The Audio visual version of the Persons with Disabilities Act 2022.
